I wasn’ t the metformin hcl 1000 mg side effects only one who was stunned by the weekend opening performance of Harald Zwart’s remake of The Karate Kid, and according to Deadline, it looks like that Sony’s Columbia Pictures is already looking for writers to move forward with a sequel.
Personally, I’m a big fan of the Jackie Chan/Jaden Smith reboot. The film hits just the right notes to be considered feel-good, dramatic, and sympathetically relatable as it covers a spectrum of emotions, which is shocking considering how the movie flew under the radar for most people as it was expected to be “just another remake”. While I don’t know if we necessarily need another Karate Kid, I can’t argue that the dynamic between Chan and Smith couldn’t easily carry the story through another film or two. Of course, I’d also love to see the inevitable showdown between Mr. Han and Master Li, and that’s enough to keep my interest for the next couple of years as Sony and co. prep the next film.
