Here he is, in the side effects 0f metformin picture everyone’s been waiting for. Andrew Garfield. Spider-Man. In the suit. Bloody and beaten up. Well honestly I’m not sure I’ve been waiting for it. I forgot for a moment that Spider-Man was even being rebooted. I think I blocked it out of my memory. I wanted metformin 500 mg price so badly to see Sam Raimi get a chance to redeem himself for the Film-Which-Shall-Not-Be-Named. It seemed like he badly wanted to do that as well. FWSNBN was the Spider-Man version of Iron Man 2, a bad experience of a studio and executives pushing characters on the filmmakers and thus creating a P.O.S. film. Though in some ways I’d say IM2 was much worse because it was basically a 2-hour commercial for The Avengers; FWSNBN was just the studio pushing a single Character-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named on Raimi, one he didn’t care to do.
Anyway, I’ve written before about all this business. And I’ve also said before that I was sad Garfield was the choice. Aside from the strangeness of claims from Sony about bringing the franchise back to high school and injecting youth into it, but then hiring a 27-year-old British (though born in LA, actually) actor to play the role, I was just flat out sad that a ridiculously talented actor like Garfield was going to be wasting his time on a blockbuster franchise that wasn’t necessary to begin with.
This picture does make me a little warm and fuzzy inside though. Garfield looks great in the suit, and maybe I should have been looking at this as, “Wow, it’s awesome they’ve chosen such a talented actor for a blockbuster franchise that wasn’t necessary to begin with.” They’re upping their game, in some sense. It’s fun to see great actors in action pics, right? I guess I’m just being bias due to my undying love for Never Let Me Go.
