Gallery 1988 Celebrates an American Legend

To commemorate metformin weight loss 500 mg the genius of writer/director John Hughes, Gallery 1988 has commissioned 50 artists to create original works looking back on his career and how he defined a generation through film.

Whether it was writing and directing, or just writing and producing, the amount of great work Hughes put out over an 8-year span from 1984-1992 was insane. See for yourself. Looking at the list of “Written by John Hughes” produced films during that time might lead conspiracy theorists to surmise there was a factory of writers working together to put work out, similar to the same wild theories about William Shakespeare and his workload over such a short time. The more relevant point being that John Hughes was a genius and someone who I actually believe is underrated, as crazy as that may sound.

The gallery show opens next Friday, February 11th, at 1988′s new location in Venice. Head over to 1988′s blog to keep up with potential Hughes previews over the next week leading up to the show, in addition to the Molly Ringwald piece above. All the work will be sold from limited prints and will likely go pretty quick at the opening.

I went to 1988′s last two shows and the work was incredible. Can’t wait for this one. Thought I think it might be best to leave my wallet at home when I go.
